National Cub Scout Camporee

Good news, boys! I just received news about a Camp for all Cub Scouts in Singapore this December. It's at Sarimbun Scout Campsite and lasts 4 days 3 nights. I will be giving out letters and consent forms this Friday for anyone who's interested to attend. Here's the notice from Scout HQ.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Scouter,

As part of a series of build up activities towards the centennial celebrations of 100 years of Scouting, the Cub Scout Roundtable of the National Programme Council (Singapore Scouts Association) will be organizing a National Cub Scouts Camporee, specially catered for the young brothers of Scouting.

Foreign Cub Scouts will be invited for the event in order to promote international friendship and exchange of Scouting values. Also, the core of Sub Scouting – Jungle Book, will form the foundational basis of the camp, from the programme to administration.

Expect this camp to be a great holiday camp and one for the Cub Scouts to remember.

As spaces are expected to be limited, please do register as soon as possible in order to avoid disappointment.

The details of the event are as follow:

Date – 4 to 7 December 2006
Venue – Sarimbun Camp and surrounding areas
Eligibility – Cub Scouts between the ages of 10 and 12
Camp Fee – S$80.00 (inclusive of Accomodation, Food, Programme, First Aid coverage and Souvenirs)
Overview of Activities – Traditional and modern camping and outdoor activities with an infusion of values from the Jungle Book
Deadline for Registration – 1 October 2006
